It is with great sadness that I share the news that friend, longtime CBUA and 3 time NCAA College World Series umpire Joe Driscoll (Billerica, MA) died Saturday morning (4/14) of a massive heart attack as he was preparing to leave for his game at Tufts University. Joe is truly a legend in college baseball umpiring and will be missed by all. Please remember Joe, his wife Cindy, and children Todd, Kimberly, and Matthew in your prayers.

CBUAO Umpires Called To Action
4/11/07, Gorham, ME: CBUAO umpires Kevin Joyce and Rob Robinson responded to the call for help today when umpires failed to show up at a baseball game between Southern Maine University and Salem State University (Southern Maine [Little East] and Salem State [MASCAC] have contracted ECAC umpires).
Division III Regional Chairman and Southern Maine A.D., Al Bean placed the call to the CBUAO seeking umpiring assistance to serve the needs of the contest, the schools and the student athletes. The CBUAO contacted Joyce and Robinson who were quick to respond and officiate the contest to its conclusion.
Cape Cod Baseball League Signs 5 Year Deal With CBUAO!
Cape Cod Baseball League Deputy Commissioner Sol Yas and CBUAO President Nick Zibelli celebrate the signing of a new 5 year agreement.
The Cape Cod Baseball League and the CBUAO have entered into a long term partnership whereby the CBUAO will provide umpiring services to the league through the 2011 season. The CCBL is widely recognized as the premier summer college baseball league in the country. CCBL President Judy Walden Scarafile and CBUAO President Nick Zibelli signed the agreement after a unanimous vote of the Cape League executive committee. The Cape Cod League season begins June 15.

2007 Spring Assignments:
All games have been assigned and are now viewable in the system. Please go into the system and confirm your assignments.
The assignment fee schedule is posted on the fee schedule page.
The fee scale that was in place in 2006 will remain the same at least through 2008. As in the past, fees are based upon the number of assignments offered, not the number of assignments accepted. A doubleheader is considered one assignment. There is no additional fee for games that may be added to your schedule after 4/11/07. Please feel free to contact Nick with any questions.
