2008 ECUA 2-Man Umpire Clinic

August 11th- 13th 

 

Clinic Information:  The ECUA Clinic offers hands-on teaching and evaluations from some of the top Division 1 college baseball umpires and instructors. Camp Director, Frank Zitaglio of East Coast Umpires and CBUA Umpire, has put together an outstanding group of instructors for the camp.

 

Clinic Instructors:  College World Series veteran and CBUAO President Nick Zibelli (coordinator for 7 Division 1 conferences) will serve as the lead instructor for the camp.  The talented staff will include many of the regions top Division 1 Conference umpires, Regional umpires and College World Series Umpires.

 

Clinic Location: The ECUA Clinic will be using the Baseball Heaven Complex in Yaphank, NY (www.baseballheavenli.com). This location will be used for all field drills and live game evaluations. The Baseball Heaven Complex is 7 miles from the Radisson Hotel, which is our host hotel for out of town students..

 

 

 

 

Clinic Itinerary:

  • The most experienced staff in the Northeast Region
  • Camp Directors: Frank Zitaglio of ECUA and Nick Zibelli of CBUAO
  • Videotaped Cage Work (Umpires are required to have plate gear & uniform)
  • Field Drills covering the 2-man umpiring system (base uniform required)
  • All students will umpire & be evaluated during live baseball games.

Clinic Schedule:

  • Monday August 11th,
    4:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Registration (At Hotel)
    6:00 pm - 10:00 pm (four hour indoor cage work & classroom session)
  • Tuesday August 12th,  
    8:30 am – 4:30 pm: Field Stations & Cage Work (lunch included)
  • Wednesday August 13th,    
    8:00 am – 5:00 pm: Live Game Evaluations
  • 12:00 pm Hotel Checkout

Clinic Cost:

Out of Town Students: Total cost is $425.00, which includes clinic, hotel room and a buffet breakfast daily. Students will be staying at the Radisson Hotel in Holtsville, NY. The hotel offers a restaurant with other restaurants and stores within one (1) mile from the hotels location.  All students will receive hotel information after deposit is received.

Commuter Students: Total cost for the clinic is $300.00

Clinic Deposit: A $300.00 non-refundable deposit is required, to reserve your spot, for out of town students.

                        A $150 non-refundable deposit is required, to reserve your spot, for local students

 

Balance Due: All remaining balances will be due at the August 11th, registration.
